Designing and Standardization of a Research Questionnaire to Evaluate the Research Experience in Thesis Process at Tabriz Pharmacy Faculty

Introduction: A significant proportion of research is conducted by graduate students in universities of medical science. The aim was to design and standardize the research questionnaire to determine the students’ satisfaction of the thesis course conducted in the Pharmacy Faculty of Tabriz medical university. Method and Materials: The present research is the original study and the method is based on survey. Data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that was evaluated for validity and reliability. Participants in the study were 61 students of Tabriz School of Pharmacy in the academic year of 2017-2017. Data were analyzed using t-test and ANOVA through SPSS software version 13. Results: Results indicated that students were satisfied with the process of approving the proposal and the supervising processes. However, the infrastructure and facilities of the faculty were not able to satisfy half of the students. There was no significant relationship (P<0.05) between students ‘general dissatisfaction based on the rank of the supervisor and participants’ gender. Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, the university infrastructure is a major factor in student satisfaction in doing the dissertation and holding training workshops for students and professors. Therefore, it is recommended that education officials and managers pay attention to this issue for improving the dissertation process
